CluEd (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our AI-guided career counselling platform at www.clueducation.com.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: Email address, name (optional), and country of residence.

Session Data: Your responses during the career counselling journey, including life stage, career goals, dream aspiration, and answers to AI-generated questions.

Payment Information: Payment is processed by Razorpay. We store only the transaction ID and payment status. We do not store your card details, bank account numbers, or UPI IDs.

Technical Data: IP address, browser type, and device information for security and analytics purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide personalised AI career counselling and generate your career report
  • To process payments and manage your account
  • To allow you to resume your session within the 30-day validity period
  • To improve our AI prompts and service quality (using anonymised, aggregated data only)
  • To communicate important service updates via email

4. AI & Your Data

Your responses are sent to AI language models (including Google Vertex AI and AWS Bedrock) to generate personalised questions and recommendations. Your data is processed in real-time and is not used to train AI models. Both Google's Vertex AI and AWS Bedrock enterprise terms prohibit using customer data for model training.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (enterprise-grade PostgreSQL hosted on AWS) with:

  • Encryption at rest and in transit (TLS 1.3)
  • Row Level Security (RLS) — you can only access your own data
  • Regular automated backups
  • Data hosted in secure cloud infrastructure

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:

  • Supabase — for data storage and authentication (hosted on AWS infrastructure)
  • Razorpay — for payment processing (governed by their privacy policy)
  • Google Cloud (Vertex AI) — for AI processing (governed by Google Cloud's data processing terms)
  • Amazon Web Services (Bedrock) — for AI processing (governed by AWS's data processing addendum)
  • Law enforcement — only if required by applicable law

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as follows:

  • Active session data: Retained for 30 days from purchase, after which incomplete sessions expire
  • Completed session reports: Retained indefinitely until you request deletion
  • Account information (email): Retained until you request account deletion
  • Payment records: Retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax and accounting regulations

You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@clueducation.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored with us
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Download your career report at any time during the session validity
  • Object to processing of your data (where applicable)
  • Request data portability (receive your data in a structured format)

For EU/EEA users (GDPR): You additionally have the right to lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children's Privacy

Our service is designed for users aged 13 and above. Users under 18 should use the service with parental awareness. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries outside your country of residence (including the United States and India) where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place through our providers' standard contractual clauses and data processing agreements.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
